Alpacas are gentle and easy to handle, easy on the land, and have few requirements for their care in relationship to other farm animals such as horses and cattle. You can easily raise 5 to 10 alpacas per acre. Raising and breeding alpacas is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Alpacas come in 22 natural colors and the fiber spins into luxurious yarns which are extremely soft and very lightweight. Alpaca fiber is hollow and has superior insulating properties. The clothing, textiles, and accessories that can be made from alpaca fiber are limited only by your imagination. The beauty and comfort of alpaca clothing is unsurpassed.
